Payment Options and Information

“What payment options are there?”

We accept payment through PayPal. It is not necessary to have a PayPal account to make a payment, however, as you can still make a secure payment with your credit/debit card through PayPal without logging in. We will also accept payment through direct deposit or bank cheque/money order. However, you must use the Contact form to arrange this method of payment. Refer to our “How to Order” page for more details.

“What is GST and do you charge it?”

In Australia, goods and services tax (GST) is charged on the supply of most goods, services and other things. However, at present we are not required to be registered for GST reporting and therefore no GST is charged on any of our products.

“We need a Tax Invoice. How can we get one?”

We do not charge GST on our products, but if you require a Tax Invoice we are happy to issue you with one. Please use the Contact form to request it.

Delivery and Shipping

“Where do you ship to?”

We ship up to 5kg within Australia. We will also ship up to 1kg to Canada, United States and United Kingdom. However, international postage is expensive so we recommend overseas readers compare prices with other online bookstores. Please use the Contact form to request a quote if your order is over the weights mentioned above.

“What are your shipping fees?”

We ship anywhere within Australia. Our shipping fees are determined by the weight of the parcel:

Up to 250g = $4.50
250g to 500g = $7.85
500g to 3kg = $12.50
3kg to 5kg = $15.90
Over 5kg = must be quoted

These prices are subject to change in accordance with Australia Post increases. All prices quoted are in Australian dollars.

Note for International readers: Although we offer postage to Canada, United States and United Kingdom, the fees are expensive so you may find it cheaper to purchase our books through an online bookstore in your country.

“What if my order is over 5kg?”

If you know the weight will go over 5kg, then don’t proceed with your purchase through the shop. Use the contact form instead to get a quote and make other arrangements. If you haven’t realised the order is over 5kg, then I will contact you with a list of options. Unfortunately, there may be additional fees required to process your order. If the options available are not suitable then a refund will be issued.

“How long will it be before my item is shipped?”

If your order is shipped by us, we generally ship items within one to two working days of receipt of payment. If items are being shipped direct from the printer, shipment is usually between one to three working days.

“How will my item be posted?”

Items shipped by us will be sent through Australia Post. Most items will be sent in a Parcel Post Plus Satchel. If your order is shipped direct from the printer it will be shipped by a courier, usually on an overnight basis to metropolitan areas. Remote areas can take two to three days for delivery.

“How long will it take to receive my books?”

We use Australia Post. Expected delivery times, according to Australia Post, is up to five working days. Please use this as a guide only. However, items posted directly from the printer are usually delivered on an overnight basis to metropolitan areas. Remote areas can take up to three days.

“Will my order by shipped by you or the printer?”

We are trying out a new system of purchasing orders and having them sent to the client, direct from the printer. If this works out well and does not increase the cost of our books or have time delays, we will adopt this system permanently. At present, most orders are being processed directly through the printer.

“Can I track my parcel?”

Yes, upon shipment of your goods we email you the tracking number. You can use the number to track your parcel through Australia Post. Unfortunately, if your item is posted direct from the printer you will not have access to the tracking information. However, we do have tracking access and are happy to provide you with information if requested.[/apane]

“Can I pick up the order and save on shipping fees?”

Yes. However, you must use the contact form and make prior arrangements.

Order Cancellation and Returns

“Can I cancel an order?”

You can cancel items from your order prior to confirmation of payment by clicking on the ‘x’ to the left of your items or by reducing the quantity of the item to zero and updating the cart.

“Can I return the goods I purchase?”

Please choose carefully as we do not give refunds. However, should you receive any items that you did not order, or that prove to be faulty, then we are happy to refund these items if they are returned to us (at your expense) within 30 days of purchase, and provided they are in perfect condition. Please note that it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure safe return of the item. We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for non-delivery of returned items.

eBook FAQ

“What is DRM?”

DRM stands for digital rights management; this is a way for publishers to limit eBooks to one account and prevent the illegal sharing of files. All our eBooks are DRM free.[/apane]

“If I purchase an eBook, when do I receive the file?”

Upon completion of payment, you will be given a download link so you can download the file straight away and start reading. You will also be emailed the link. Please check your spam folder if you don’t receive it. If you have any issues with the download, contact us so we can sort the problem out for you.

Privacy

“What do you do with the information you collect?”

We respect your right for privacy and never give away, sell, rent or disclose your information to another person or entity, for any reason. The information we request from you is used for the sole purpose of processing your order.
