Halloween or All Hallow’s Eve is celebrated around the world on 31 October each year. Many people dress up to go “trick or treating”. Some play pranks on their unsuspecting neighbours. Children’s eyes light up as they collect lollies (sweets or candy, in other parts of the world). Pumpkins are carved into jack-o’-lanterns. In some areas people bob for apples. It is with great pleasure that we announce the official launch of the Night Terrors Anthology. You are invited to join the celebration by joining us at the online launch, which is a 24-hour event over at Facebook. It is currently underway.

The Night Terrors Anthology submission period is officially closed. We would like to thank everyone who submitted a short story for consideration.
Currently, replies have been sent out to all stories received on or before 11 December 2011. If you submitted a story prior to this date and haven’t received an email then don’t despair, your story has been shortlisted and a final decision will be made as soon as the remaining submissions have been processed.
Night Terrors Anthology is due for release in March or April 2012.
If you didn’t have time to submit a story to this anthology then now would be a good time to check out our next forthcoming anthology, Tomorrow Anthology. The reading period isn’t open yet, but it means you have plenty of time to plan and write a suitable story. Check out the Submission Guidelines page for details.
It is with great pleasure that we reveal the Night Terrors Anthology cover. The artwork is by artist Ken Henson and he’s done a truly brilliant job. The book is due for release in late March/early April 2012.
The Night Terrors Anthology will crawl under your skin and keep you awake long into the night. It’s an anthology of creepy stories that will include ghosts, vampires, demons, voodoo and the walking dead. These are stories that are so close to reality that, be warned, they could happen to you!
But there are still spaces to be filled. If you write horror then we may be interested in your work. If your stories start right in the middle of the mayhem then you’ve already won our attention. And if your story manages to keep our attention to the last word then consider your story SOLD!
The reading period for Night Terrors is open until 31 December 2011, which is only four weeks away. Please ensure you read the Submission Guidelines before you send us your story.
